The name of the skill is derived from the word Tae (meaning to kick), Kwon (meaning to strike with the hand), and the word Do (meaning path). This skill is characterized by a rich and attractive foot technique, as well as fast movements, without the use of weapons in self-defense.
Taekwondo as a martial art strengthens the spirit and transfers it to the energy of life, through physical and mental training itself. Today, it represents one of the most significant, popular martial arts in the world, and this is proven by its presence at the Olympic Games.
Research conducted among children, in the world and in our country, showed that due to passive viewing of television, mobile phones, tablets, playing video games, children’s attention drops drastically with a tendency to lose motor skills, self-confidence and desire for physical activity.
The main problem of this lifestyle of our youngest is the loss of contact with the real world and increased peer violence, which is a problem not only for parents but also for the entire society.
